New Lapis Lazuli Beaded Bracelet!!

The beads on this bracelet are absolutely stunning!! They are 10mm Lapis Lazuli round beads. Bright Blue (A grade) with gold Pyrite flecks. There are two beautiful 6mm Czech black rhinestone crystal ~AB rondelles. The howlite carved skull is approximately 3/4 of an inch by 1/2 of an inch and there are two clear swarovski flat backs that adorn each eye. A red tassel adorns back of stretch bracelet. Fits 7" wrist.

Lapis Lazuli is a rare semi precious gemstone known for its brilliant blue color with specks of pyrite thoughout the stone. The color is truly beautiful. Lapis lazuli is regarded by many people around the world as the stone of friendship and truth. In Mexican lore, the skull is used in the Dia De Los Muertos celebrations as a symbol of rebirth and continued life here on earth.

Latina Beauty

I read an article recently about how Latina news anchors on Hispanic news channels wear heavy handed makeup, tight clothing and have big hair. The reason stated was to cater to the machismo male audience. Now, I'm a Latina, and I've got to say, the machismo male attitude in my culture makes me cringe. Thank God I found a fantastic Mexican husband who shares my values and ideals but is perfectly okay with me walking out of the house with no makeup, a baseball cap and sneakers. And when I do go out, I prefer the look of Latinas like Roselyn Sanchez pictured above. I like light, understated colors and I wear my hair just straight.....big curls are fine once in a while but I can't do it everyday.
